We are excited to announce that applications for the READ JAPAN PROJECT in 2024 are now open. To apply, institutions must obtain a recommendation from a Japanese diplomatic establishment (embassy, consulate, or permanent mission). Those with a recommendation will receive application details and a link to the online form directly from the secretariat.

Deadline for online submissions: July 1, 2024, 23:59 (Japan Standard Time).

RJP 2024 features an expanded list of books available for donation. Applicants may now choose from among 354 Japan-related titles, including those in such new genres as Japanese manga and Japanese-language learning materials (please refer to the updated “List of Books”).

Please carefully read the Call for Applications 2024 before initiating the online application process. The application must be completed from start to finish in one sitting and cannot be saved in parts.
