Ask Japanese Diplomatic Establishment for a Recommendation To apply, you will first need to receive a recommendation from a Japanese diplomatic establishment (embassy, consulate, or permanent mission).There is no need to secure a letter, as the recommendation will be conveyed directly to the project secretariat.

Submit Your Application to the Secretariat Applicants who have secured a recommendation from a Japanese diplomatic establishment in their country or region will be contacted directly by the secretariat and provided with application details, including a link to the online application form. Prepare all required information ready before starting the online application process and submit it online.
*The secretariat will cover book and shipping costs. Applicants are asked to bear import duties, VAT, and other charges incurred locally.

Screening by the Secretariat The secretariat will screen all completed applications. Due to budget constraints, the number of books shipped may be limited. Additionally, the secretariat reserves the right to prioritize certain countries or institutions, such as those that have not yet received books through this project

Approval Notice and Shipment Institutions whose applications have been approved will be notified by the secretariat and provided with shipping details. *The entire process from application, screening, and approval to shipment normally takes four to five months.
